Kogas Time Trial & Triathlon Racer UCI Approved

  

HEERENVEEN, the Netherlands - Koga’s TeeTee, the very special frame for time-trial and triathlon bikes, has been approved by the UCI for competitions which are run under the UCI’s auspices.

It means that the frame complies with all requirements specified by the UCI for the shape and dimensions of frames for competition use. These requirements were laid down by the UCI in the so-called Lugano Charter, intended to ensure fair competition in which the athlete determines the performance, and in which freely available equipment is accessible to riders.

The sleek Koga Aero Design was developed taking the UCI regulations into account and has been further optimized in wind tunnel tests. After exhaustive performance testing by the Skil-Shimano team the geometry was also optimized.

The frame features numerous outstanding aerodynamic design details, such as a fully integrated stem, an internal compartment for the gear-shift battery, internal cable routing, ‘Air Duct’ carbon seat post as well as an aerodynamic location for the rear brake. The frame is made from high modulus carbon fibre which delivers a frame-weight that stands at only 1250grams. Distinctive highlights and striking graphics underline the speed-specific design.

Change gear like a pro with the new electronic Shimano Ultegra Di2

The semi-professional Ultegra groupset is notable for a sensible balance between low weight and high rigidity, with extraordinary gear-shifting performance. Now the transmission groupset – as with its ‘big sister’ Dura Ace – is available as an electronic Di2 version.
Precise, silent and fast: that’s how well the shifting action works both at front and rear derailleurs when electronics take over from mechanical cables.
The shift buttons are located on the brake levers, so that they can be operated even during braking manoeuvres, for example when you are braking in anticipation of a difficult road section. The system is very low maintenance: only the battery charge level needs to be checked from time to time.
The visual look of a Signature racing bike equipped with Di2 is extremely modern and clean, because all cables run within the frame.
The Ultegra Di2 comes exclusively with double-chainring (double or compact) crankset and is available in a new colour scheme, “Glossy Gray”, which replaces the silver-coloured Ultegra model in the Signature system.

GATES BELT DRIVE ON KOGA SIGNATURE

As from season 2012, that's after Koga's company holiday (week 34), there will be a new option available in Koga Signature the Rohloff hub with Gates Carbon Belt Drive.

The price for the Gates Carbon Belt Drive over normal chain drive will be around £300.00.

Initially Koga will launch the Gates Carbon Belt Drive on WorldTraveler (CS-TR 26) and Traveller (CS-TR 28) and only in color option Mystic Black.

The Brushed Polish color option will be introduced later, same as the Traveller (KS-28 CF mixed and LF KS 28 low entry).

Please note that right now, the Alfine 11-speed will not be offered with Gates Carbon Belt Drive.

MODIFIED BAKFEETZ

Here are some photos of a BakFeetz that we had custom built some time ago.

The client visited my store with requirements that nothing 'off the peg' could fulfill.  Knowing that Feetz (now known as 4wieler) over in Holland we're very onnovative. We set about designing a vehicle that would be suitable.

We used the BakFeetz as the platform for the build and then sent a special swing seat, that is designed for special needs children over to Holland so that they could get creative. Lennart at 4Wieler then sketched some plans and sent them over to us for approval.

The sketches we're great. Just what the client has hoped for, so work began.

A month later and the BakFeetz arrived = 1 HAPPY FAMILY
